I, personally, have had an elevator in my last two homes—spanning over a dozen years now—and have found that elevators get used more often than you’d think. Groceries, suitcases and other heavy items easily come to mind, but ask me about my ski accident and subsequent weeks laid up in a cast, and I’ll tell you that elevators are worth their weight in gold!
